2025 FIM SUPERSPORT 300 WORLD CHAMPION
A graduate of the European Talent Cup, this year Spain’s Beñat Fernandez – Kove took his next step on the career ladder when he raced to the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship title following a close and very competitive season in the saddle.
Contested over eight hard-fought rounds that took competitors to six European countries, Fernandez was only seventeen when he clinched the title by just eighteen points from rising Australian star Carter Thompson – Kawasaki.
After taking victory in the second race at the opening round in Portugal in March, Fernandez slipped to third in the standings in the Netherlands the following month before winning the overall in the Czech Republic in May to move to within four points of the series lead.
Victory in race two at Misano in Italy in June saw him hold a one-point advantage at the halfway point that he extended in September, first in Magny-Cours in France and then Aragon in Spain.
Thompson reduced his advantage to ten points in Estoril in early October, but despite scoring just a single point in the opening race at the final round one week later in Jerez in Spain, Fernandez took the title with victory in race two.
