2025 FIM WORLD RALLY-RAID CHAMPION

Already a highly-decorated off-road racer who helped steer his country to the World Trophy at the 2018 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations, Australian Daniel Sanders – KTM now has an individual FIM gold medal after dominating this year’s FIM World Rally-Raid Championship.

Arguably one of the most physically demanding of all FIM disciplines, Rally-Raid involves multiple arduous days in the saddle and the thirty-one-year-old seized control when the 2025 series got under way in January with the iconic Dakar Rally.

Following his victory in Saudi Arabia, Sanders’ next stop was in the UAE in February for the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge where he won again to extend his advantage at the top before making it three wins from three starts with victory in the South African Safari Rally in May.

After a four-month break, the series reconvened for its sole European date – the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal – where Sanders’ fourth consecutive win put the title out of reach of his challengers.

The series signed off in October with the fabled Rally du Maroc in Morocco where Sanders’ hopes of a perfect season were dashed when Spain’s Tosha Schareina – Honda took a well-deserved win, although the championship was already won.
