2023 FIM Awards – Meet the presenters

With so many FIM World Champions receiving their medals this coming Saturday evening (2nd December) at the 2023 FIM Awards Ceremony that is being held for the first time in Great Britain, the presenting team at ACC Liverpool also needs to have a global pedigree and there is no doubt that the four Masters of Ceremony chosen for this glittering occasion are at the forefront of their respective fields.

A keen sportsperson, Barbara Pedrotti is well known to motorsport fans through her presenting work with FIM MotoGP™ and Formula 1 as well as the Giro d’Italia (Cycling Tour of Italy) and various UEFA football events. The Italian former model has also built a television career working with establishments that include Sky, Mediaset and beIN Sports France.

A two-time FIM Superbike World Champion, Britain’s James Toseland’s primary focus is now on his successful career in music, and he has a top-forty UK Rock Chart album to his name, although the gifted singer and pianist remains at the heart of the world motorcycle community through his TV work with Eurosport and Discovery+.

Currently hosting FIM Superbike World Championship coverage on Discovery in the UK, Rachel Stringer has also reported on FIM MotoGP™ for TNT Sports. A former international runner, she spent five years covering the British Superbike series and this year, among other broadcasting duties, worked on the Le Mans 24 Hour centenary race for Discovery.

The recognised face of FIM Superbike World Championship and FIM MotoGP™ coverage in the UK, Matthew Roberts’ career stretches back over twenty years working for Dorna Sports, the BBC, ITV, Eurosport and Discovery+. A successful writer, translator and bi-lingual event MC, he has been a regular presenter at the FIM Awards for the past decade.

This will be the only occasion this year that so many motorcycling heroes will be in the same place at the same time and it truly is an event that is not to be missed. However, those unable to attend on Saturday evening in person will be able to watch the entire medal ceremony live and for free on FIM-MOTO.TV from 22.00hrs UK / 23.00hrs CET.
