2025 FIM QUADCROSS OF NATIONS WORLD CHAMPIONS
Elevated to full FIM World Championship status last year, the 2025 FIM QuadCross of Nations was held on the final weekend of September alongside the FIM SidecarCross of Nations in the energy-sapping sand of Heerde in the Netherlands.
With each country dropping its lowest score and teamwork absolutely vital for nations hoping to be in contention at the end of the day, defending champions the USA started favourites, but it was the Netherlands who ended the day on top.
Race one saw Bryce Ford – Yamaha take second for the USA with Julien Veldman – Beta finishing fourth for the home nation. With the USA’s Joel Hetrick – Yamaha in thirteenth and Dutch racer Mike Verboven – KTM eighteenth, both leading nations started the event with very mixed results.
The pressure intensified in race two with Mike van Grinsven – Honda finishing second for the Netherlands with Hetrick fourth. The USA’s Chad Wienen – Yamaha crossed the line in sixth, three places ahead of Verboven, to hand the advantage to the defending champions heading into the final race.
Van Grinsven then stepped up to claim a vital victory for the Netherlands and with Veldman sixth, sandwiched between Ford and Wienen, the title belonged to the Dutch.
